Since being added to It's Useless, I felt that I was given an opportunity to leave a mark on a greater scale. For that, I have to give thanks to Paul Scrivs and the crew at Fine Fools and 9 Rules.

However, I seem to be treading new ground here. This particular blog has a boing-boing effect to it. Yes. I can make posts like that but I want this to be more!

I remember e-mailing Paul that, It's Useless seems to be useful.

I meant it.

A blog can be as wonderful as the blogger and the audience can make it. It may SEEM useless but it serves a purpose. Just have to look at it in a different way.

I'm looking for an online university that offers a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing.

Expensive as hell but, since I'm moving back to my parent's house (temporarily), I think I can I can shell out the cash.

Stupid I know, but this is where my passion lies now.

There would be numerous times where I would be reading a writing reference book until the wee hours of the morning. I just wanted to soak it all up!

Anyway, I've posted my latest story: Kafkanian Parable (Part 2): The Bird. I hope someone reads it and leaves a comment. I need feedback to hone my skills.

Grammar

I HATED studying Grammar. I saw it as unnecessary. A chore. I found it boring!

As a beginning writer I see its importance. It is a framework of the story. Just as valuable as the story itself. If it was unstable and unsure, the whole story might collapse on itself. A great story with bad grammar is just as bad as eating hotdogs with no teeth.

That's why I've decided to go back to the frameworks and brush up on my Grammar books. I'm planning to buy a new one.

Any recommendations?

Last night, I was telling the kids about my Kafkanian story. Gave them a sneak peek into what happens to the cage and the bird. I was expecting that they would not appreciate it; that they would be bored with it. The kids actually liked it! They even liked the ending (Yes. Virginia, it is dark as well).

I'm even more inspired to write now.

Now I'm on to write the first draft of my Kafkanian Parable Part 2.

Pressure

Did I just give myself unnecessary pressure?

Did I just give myself a-three-times-a-week-story quota?

Will I get anything out of this?

Why the hell split from the other blog? Why not just continue on from there?

Answers:

Yes. I just gave myself pressure. It's a good way to be creative. Come on, it's just three times a week! I could schedule my outlining sessions (that never go ANYWHERE) every night before I sleep. It's usually the most creative time of the day for me.

I probably won't get anything (financial-wise) from this. Sorry.

I split from the other blog to get a feeling of separateness from the other blog (whatever that means). I want this to deal with only a specific part of my life---my stories. The other one deals with mostly the other sides of me.

Evolution

I was doing an outline last night about the "novel" I'm looking for. I ended up doing a Kafkanian Parable instead.

Funny things happen when I try to plan out a story. It totally becomes something else. It evolves into something I never intended it to be. The curious thing about the parable was that I wrote it from the hip. There were no outlines nor plans. It just came out and impassioned me to write it. I suddenly felt that I HAD to finish it tonight! This muse will disappear if I bog it down to details and schedules!

I felt possessed. The story is flowing out of my head into my hand.
